Our Story

BR Scented Candles was established in late 2024. With my passion for scented candles, and with an upcoming event I was planning for 2025, I decided to have candles as a favor for all of my guests. As I shopped around for prices, my great-niece advised me to make my own candles for my guests. Once I ordered the kit, and it arrived, I began experimenting with different scents, learning how to measure the right soy was and fragrance oils to perfect it. It then became therapeutic for me as I made them. With my primary career, it can be extremely stressful, and candle making became a therapeutic way to ease my stress. That is when I said, why not continue doing this for a living, making this into a business.

My husband and daughter became my candle testers and soon began helping me turn this hobby into a small business! B stands for Betty and the R stands for Rosalind. Both parents of my husband and I passed away, and we needed something to remind us of how important they were in our lives. So we named our business - BR Scented Candles.
